As part of “Family Weekend,” the College of St. Benedict will host a book signing for Annette Atkins from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12. The event will take place in Mary Commons on the CSB campus. Atkins will be signing copies of her “Challenging Women Since 1913: The College of Saint Benedict,” “Creating Minnesota: A History from the Inside Out” and “The State We’re In: Reflections on Minnesota History,” which she co-edited with Debbie Miller. Atkins teaches history at CSB and St. John’s University. She often appeared frequently on Minnesota Public Radio and served as interim executive director of the Stearns History Museum and Research Center in St. Cloud. The event is open to the public.
Hilsgen is a contributing reporter for the Newsleaders. The central Minnesota native is a wife, mother and grandmother. She has a Bachelor's degree in Organizational Management and Communication from Concordia University – St. Paul, MN and enjoys learning about and sharing other people's stories through the pages of the Newsleaders.
